90's hotel.

Location, big swimming pool.

-Outdated hotel, felt like you were brought back to 90's. -Room got strong cigarette smell, seems like previous guest managed to smoke freely in the room without being caught by the hotel staff. Asked to clean the smell, but seems did not work. -Unfriendly receptionist. Had notified earlier during making booking that I needed rooms near to each others as I traveled with warga emas & kids and got reply that they put this request as priority. When checked in, it seems like the system had set the rooms number and I got far apart rooms. Asking to re-check/re-consider, initially the receptionist refused giving reason that no available rooms. But, I keep insisted, a look like more senior receptionist intercepted and managed to get me both rooms near to each other. Please, brush up your receptionist (her) attitude. - Reasonable choice of buffer breakfast but the taste were dull. Even nasi lemak taste not nasi lemak.

the view from the hotel room. And most staffs are friendly.

I'm pretty sure I approached the counter at the wrong time, staff name Fendi is very rude to me telling me this "Do not come to the counter unless I call your name to come." But after that when I go over to the counter at night to collect my chargers he was nice to me again. I arrived on a Sunday evening after 5pm. There's only swimming pool and gym. No other facilities. Forgot to take utensil for my takeaway dinner, called to ask for some utensils to be send up, was told that they don't provide room service, I have to go and request from their restaurant. 3 restaurant, only 1 is open. All other are closed. Wellness centre also not operating anymore.

Breakfast was good and location of the Hotel was good.

Although the Hotel is good overall, it is too old. The bathroom was very dull/dirty-looking with cracks appearing on the basin with water taps leaking. There were ugly marks on the wall . The bathroom really needs renovation including replacement of the bathroom fittings which are leaking and not properly functional.

The room and facility is so old and poorly maintained that it looks dirty no matter how clean it may be, the furniture and fittings look tired, worn out and desperately needs to be changed Cracked wall tiles in bathroom and jaded bathroom fittings makes for an unpleasant stay in the room

The property did nt tell me to pay the full amount of the 3 day 2 night stay wen i double comfirm n ask her again she say i will get my extra refund $35 on the $400 tat i pay apoun checkin...when check out time they as me to pay another $100 equal to 305rm as they did nt mention it upon check in...poor customer service

The location in front of JDT stadium. Near town. The bed and pillow very comfy. 2 days here and im very enjoy.

If hotel able to improve the basics nessatity ..encourage more to come again

Toilet unable to flush, damn mat, request for hse keeping while we out from the hotel but came back no hse keeping done.

Many hotel equipment- build architure structure need to rebuild cracks here and there. Toilet need to service the pump flashing point to flush all waste properly....Ensure dry mat inside the hotel.

We expect better because we call Thistle our home.

We have been staying in this property for a couple of times and it has been like home to us whenever we come to JB. The location is good,the ambience is great.The view is great.

On the day of check-in,we believe 2 of Thistle's staff did not try their best to accomodate to our request regards to room resevervation.only after a hard push did they managed to get us a room of our choice.We thought,if we can finally get what we requested for,why being so hard-sell and tough on is for at 8pm when the guest is tired? Then there was a case of missing coffee table in the room so we had to have our meals on the floor. Then came the heavy rain and the water seeps in thru some gaps in the ceiling and get the carpeted window area all wet. We know Thistle can do better and we always come back to our home -Thistle but this trip was rather a dissappointment 2 nights stay.

The breakfast had a pretty decent spread although the breakfast area was crowded owing to it being a public holiday. The room was quite spacious although it cracks of it being a refurbished hotel peeks through.

My heater stopped working in the evening, and we were left hanging and waiting with a rather disorganised approach to handle such a matter. We were eventually given a new room upon request after a long wait. This, to me, was unacceptable as I had to demand for service as opposed to be provided it. To give credit, the staff were helpful but seemed hampered by SOPs regarding such a matter.

Love everything. The service given to us was tiptop. The people there are always smilling. Love the room, love the breakfast. Everything was superb ???????? Only stayed there for a night but somehow hoping that i don’t have to chck out ????

Nice pool and spacious room. Stayed at Deluxe Seaview King .

Staff got us an incorrect room and debated with very ridiculous excuses when told the room given was smaller than what we had booked. The manager on duty 21/4 even smirked at me. My kids witnessed the unpleasant conversations and I even had a recording . Finally got my room
